Who we Are

About Sharon Gusmus

As a licensed counselor in both Florida and Colorado, I bring years of specialized experience in multiple therapeutic modalities. My expertise spans CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and couples counseling, offering comprehensive support for a variety of issues and traumas. Holding a CAS credential, I am also adept at addressing substance abuse challenges, both for individuals and their loved ones.

Accessibility is a cornerstone of my practice. I offer in-person sessions for clients based in Florida, and virtual sessions are available for clients residing in both Florida and Colorado. This ensures that wherever you are, high-quality therapeutic support is just a call away.

My approach to therapy is rooted in treating the whole person rather than just focusing on the problem at hand. I firmly believe that while nobody is perfect, everyone has the capacity for self-improvement and meaningful growth. To facilitate this, Beach Therapy offers a convenient virtual counseling platform, extending the opportunity for healing to all who seek it.

EMDR

EMDR is a groundbreaking therapeutic approach aimed at alleviating the distress associated with traumatic memories. Motivation interviewing - substance

Motivational Interviewing is a therapeutic technique primarily used for addressing substance abuse and mental health conditions. By adopting a client-centered approach, the method encourages individuals to explore and articulate their own reasons for change. Through guided conversations and open-ended questions, we help clients build self-awareness, motivation, and confidence.
